Places to visit in Italy

Rome: I’ll use just three words to convince you of this one, artwork, architecture and food! This UNESCO World Heritage Site is where the spaghetti alla carbonara originated. Do not miss the chance to witness the awe-inspiring architecture of Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel.

Florence: History and art lovers! This one is for you! The birthplace of the Renaissance offers numerous enthralling places to explore, such as the Uffizi Gallery, Accademia Gallery, Church and Museum of Orsanmichele. 996, amongst others.

If you are someone who worries about food while travelling, Florence has got your back. You will only get delicious and freshly prepared food here. Not only this, you have to visit their food market to carry its essence to your own kitchen.

Did someone say Tuscan wine? The world-famous Tuscan wine? Yes! It is a must to visit the vineyards and savour the taste of world-class wine in Florence.

Venice: You hear Venice, I hear “Love is in the air!”. One of the most romantic cities in the world, no matter how tragic Shakespeare made it in his novel, this colourful city with canals and gondolas steals a part of everybody’s soul. Arriving in a Vaporetto is just the beginning of its magic. Check this out to learn about the monuments in Venice.

Milan: We all know that the first thing that comes to mind is fashion! With countless exhibitions and stores for fashion freaks, this is the heaven of finesse.

Cinque Terre: If you’re like me and want it all at once, Cinque Terre calls you. It comprises five towns, Vernazza, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia and Monterosso al Mare. I like to call it the “Peach Town” for its soft, bright and vibrant colours. This twine of romantic villages is embraced as a part of Cinque Terre National Park, recognised by UNESCO.

Sardinia: Call out to all beach people! Sardinia is where you belong to. If you seek a vacation focused on relaxation and a leisurely pace, Sardinia is the ideal destination to unwind and take it easy.

What to keep in mind while travelling to Italy?

If you thrive in lively environments, visiting Italy in July can be an excellent choice. The warm weather and vibrant atmosphere make it an ideal time to immerse yourself in the bustling crowds and festive energy of this captivating country. However, if you’re on a tight budget, it’s wise to avoid travelling around August 15th, as Ferragosto, an Italian holiday, tends to result in price surges. Many locals take time off during this period, leading to increased costs for accommodations and other travel expenses.
