2 die from cholera in outbreak in the Kuram Agency, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan

Two people have died while 320 others are ill with cholera in an outbreak in Kurram Agency. In general, travellers are advised to avoid travel in this area due to security concerns. If travel can not be avoided, then the risk of exposure to this infection can be reduced by strictly observing all food and water precautions. If gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g., vomiting and profuse watery diarrhoea) develop while visiting the affected area, travellers should seek medical care at once.
