4 deaths due to meningitis outbreak in Tijuana, Mexico (update)

Four people have died from meningitis during the outbreak in Tijuana. There have been 15 cases reported altogether. Since meningitis is transmitted through close personal contact with infected persons, the risk for travellers to this city is very low. However, if contact with ill persons is anticipated, vaccination against meningitis may be considered.
