Suspected ritual killings reported in Yaounde, Cameroon

In the past 2 weeks, 18 mutilated male and female bodies have been found on the streets of Yaounde. Authorities believe them to be part of a wave of killings linked to occult rituals, triggering panic in the capital city. The victims ages are between 15 and 26 years of age and are mostly Yaounde high school students. Although travellers do not appear to be targeted, they should still exercise a high degree of caution when travelling in Cameroon due to unpredictable security.
