A second case of respiratory avian flu H7N9 in Vancouver, Canada

A close contact (family member) of the first ever case of respiratory avian flu H7N9 identified in North America has also been infected with this strain. This strain of avian influenza is not transmitted easily from person-to-person; however, close personal contact between family members may result in transmission. The risk of spread in the general public is extremely low.
