Alert level lowered for Mount Agung in Indonesia

Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Authority has reduced the volcanic alert level for Mount Agung volcano in northeast Bali to level 3. The Authority has determined that there is reduction in seismic activity.

Advice

The Mount Agung volcano continues to show volcanic activity. Eruptions of this volcano in the past have caused widespread ash fall, which under certain circumstances, could affect flights at Denpasar and airports in East Java and Lombok. Follow the advice of local authorities. Stay outside the exclusion zone.
