Almost 2,500 cholera deaths in Africa

An ever expanding wave of cholera has claimed at least 2,500 lives according to UNICF officials. More than 85,000 cases have been reported in 10 countries from Mali to Congo this year.

Travellers to sub-Saharan Africa should be aware of the increasing risk of exposure to cholera and take all necessary precautions to avoid consuming contaminated food and water.
