Almost 250 people die in extensive flooding in Zimbabwe

Continued heavy rains have resulted in extensive flooding in the southern parts of the country. A total of 248 people have died, 126 have been injured while thousands are homeless. There is a shortage of food and shelter. Many roads and bridges have been destroyed. A national disaster has been declared.
