An entire village in Fiji is quarantined due to an outbreak of typhoid

Health authorities reported that the village of Nanoko has been quarantined after half of its residents have become infected with typhoid.

Travellers to this area should exercise caution and avoid consuming contaminated food or water. Vaccination against typhoid fever should be considered, especially is unsafe food can not be avoided.
