Another major earthquake strikes Nepal

Another powerful earthquake measuring magnitude 7.3 has struck near Mt. Everest and Kodari in Nepal. So far, at least 42 people were killed and 1,117 injured in this new quake. In addition, 17 people died in India. Strong aftershocks measuring 6.3 have followed. At least 19 buildings collapsed, including 10 in Kathmandu. Kathmandu's airport has been closed temporarily.

Travellers who were planning to visit Nepal should reconsider their plans. Many essential services, including transportation, have been disrupted by the large scale destruction following these earthquakes.
