Anti-government protests continue in Haiti

Anti-government protests in Haiti are continuing. Thousands marched in the capital, Port-au-Prince. Some protesters burned cars and set up street barricades, and police responded with tear gas, stun grenades and water cannon to disperse the crowds.

The elections have been postponed indefinitely. Anti-government protests may continue and can occur unexpectedly. Some protests have turned violent with road blocks, setting vehicles on fire and throwing rocks and other objects. To minimize safety risk, avoid all areas of protests, rallies or large public gatherings.
