Attacks and kidnappings continue in Nigeria

Boko Haram Islamists have abducted another 60 girls and women and killed 30 male villagers according to witnesses. This brings the total number of people kidnapped by the Boko Haram this year to at least 400.

Most countries advise against, all but necessary, travel to Nigeria overall. Avoid travel to the following areas of Nigeria: States of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Kaduna, and Yobe; and Kano City, Okene City, Warri City, and riverine areas of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta and Cross River States. In Nigeria, there is a high risk of terrorist attack, kidnapping, and violent crime.
