Avoid non-essential travel around Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Update

In Calgary, Alberta, schools are closed and the mayor is advising against all non-essential travel. The evacuation order for the next few days has been expanded to include parts of 25 communities which, at this time, include: Beltline, Bonnybrook, Bowness, Bridgeland Industrial Area, Chinatown, Eau Claire, Cliff Bungalow, Deer Run, Discovery Ridge, Downtown, East Village, Elbow Park, Erlton, Inglewood, Hillhurst, Mission, Montgomery, Quarry Park, Rideau, Riverbend, Riverdale, Roxboro, Stanley Park, Elboya, Sunnyside, Victoria Park, Westmount and Windsor Park.

The Bow and Elbow rivers are at very high levels running through Calgary and other towns, including Turner Valley, High River, Black Diamond, and Canmore. More rain expected today, with the most rain expected in Calgary and north of Canmore.

Travellers should avoid these areas for the next few days as more rain is expected today.
