Bomb blasts in Bahrain kill one and wound five people

Today in the town of Sitra, Bahrain, a bomb blast killed one policeman and wounded five when a group targeted a police station. In Janabiya, another Shiite village, a security patrol was attached with molotov cocktails.

Travellers should be aware of political and religious tensions in Bahrain. Avoid any public gatherings or demonstrations. At least 80 people have been killed in Bahrain since Shiite-led pro-democracy protests in February 2011.
