Bomb blasts kill at least 12 today around Baghdad, Iraq
Today bomb blasts killed at least 12 people around public places in Baghdad. Five people were killed and 13 injured when a car bomb exploded at a shop. Three people were killed and eight injured in a bomb blast at an outdoor market in the eastern part of the city. Another blast killed two and injured three people near a vegetable and fruit market.
Iraq is known as one of the most dangerous countries in the world. The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq has reported that over 1,030 Iraqis were killed and about 1,690 wounded in acts of terrorism, violence and armed conflict in May alone, and 665 of those deaths were civilians.
