A powerful bomb explosion occurred outside the High Court building in Cairo’s Heliopolis neighbourhood. Three people were injured.

Advice For Travellers

Most bombings in Egypt occur in the North Sinai area. However, this year, Egypt’s top prosecutor was killed in Cairo when a bomb hit his motorcade. In March, a bomb exploded at the front gate of Cairo’s High Court Building.

Travellers should consider avoiding judicial buildings, government buildings and police or security installations.
