Bomb in Manama, Bahrain, injures policeman

The on-going conflict between the Sunni Muslim-dominated government and pro-democracy majority Shi'ite Muslims has escalated with injuries to several policemen by homemade bombs since April 2012. In the latest incident, a home-made bomb was detonated at a roundabout west of the Bahraini capital Manama, injuring 3 policemen. Due to political tensions and unpredictable security, some countries advise their citizens to postpone travel to Bahrain at this time.
