British Virgin Islands still affected by hurricane

A curfew is still in place from 22:00 to 06:00. There is widespread damage to infrastructure. Some roads are still impassable. Power supplies have been badly affected. Large areas of Tortola, other islands, and most homes, are without power or water. Communications have been damaged, including mobile phone networks, and coverage remains patchy. Access to medical supplies, food and water is slowly returning to normal.

The Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Tortola has reopened for commercial flights between 07:30 and 17:30. Most sea ports are now open and some ferry services have resumed. The security situation remains stable.
