Canadian Parliament on lockdown after shootings in the capital, Ottawa

Presently, the Canadian Parliament Building in Ottawa, Canada, is on lockdown after a gunman opened fire in the building. One member of the Canadian Forces was shot and killed at the War Memorial. One gunman has been shot and there could be three on the loose. There is an evacuation occurring in the Post Office, possibly a shooter in the Chateau Laurier Hotel, and there is possibly a gunman on a roof.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) advising people stay away from the downtown area and those who are downtown to stay away from doors and windows.

This incident comes a day after Canada's alert level was raised from low to medium.
