Car bomb detonated in front of French embassy in Tripoli, Libya

A powerful car bomb tore the front off the French embassy and caused major damage in the neighbourhood in Tripoli early Tuesday morning. Two French security guards and a Libyan girl were injured. Several countries advise their citizens to avoid all travel to Libya at this time due to the uncertain political situation, unpredictable security situation throughout the country, and the threat of kidnapping and terrorist attacks.
