Mexico

  • Campeche - 1,833 cases, DHF 459 cases
  • Quintana Roo - 1,125 cases, DHF 668 cases
  • Jalisco - 524 cases; DHF 55 cases; Most affected municipalities: Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Magdalena, Tlaquepaque, Zapopan

Cayman Islands - 44 cases, Increasing trend

Dominican Republic

  • Santiago - 866 cases; 5 deaths

Bolivia - national data: 487 cases

Brazil

  • Bahia - 68,414 cases; 27 death
  • Mato Grosso - 43,158 cases; DHF 141; 25 deaths; Municipalities most affected: Cuiaba, Varzea Grande, Sinop, Rondonopolis

Colombia

  • Cordoba - 1,400 cases; DHF 67 cases; 12 deaths; Municipality most affected: Monteria
  • Huila - more than 5,600 cases; DHF approximately 160; Increasing trend; City most affected: Neiva

Peru

  • Junin - 800 cases

*Note: Due to incomplete reporting, lack of access to health care in some areas, and the fact that many persons with dengue fever may not seek medical care and be reported to health authorities, there may be many more cases in the community than are reported. Travellers to these areas can reduce their risk of exposure to dengue fever virus by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
