Cause of Shigellosis outbreak in Genesee County, Michigan, still under investigation

The exact source of the shigellosis outbreak that began in March and that has affected 177 patients is still under investigation in the city of Flint and Genesee county. Contaminated water supplies are a common source of shigella infections.
