Chikungunya may be underreported in Karachi, Pakistan

There are unconfirmed reports that over 5,000 patients have been infected with the chikungunya virus fever in Saudabad and Lyari in a month. However, official statistics have recorded 510 suspected chikungunya fever cases, and 11 have had positive laboratory tests.
