Cholera cases continue to increase in Hoima District, Uganda (update)

The number of cases of cholera in the on-going epidemic around Lake Albert has increased to 56 reported cases in Hoima District. Travellers to this area can reduce the risk of exposure to cholera by strictly observing all food and water precautions. If gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g., vomiting and watery diarrhoea) develop while visiting the affected area, travellers should seek medical care at once.
