Cholera continues to spread across the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The cholera epidemic in the provinces along the Congo River that has resulted in 6,910 cases and 384 deaths has now spread into eastern parts of the country. South- Kivu province has recorded a total of approximately 50 cases and 3 deaths.

Travellers to this country should be aware of the risk of exposure to cholera and take all necessary precautions to avoid consuming contaminated food and water.
