Cholera kills 20 and infects 341 in the Republic of the Congo.

Health authorities claim that the cholera outbreaks in neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo have spread to Brazzaville and the northern areas of Likouala and Cuvette, notably along the Congo River. A total of 341 cases and 20 deaths have been recorded since June.

Travellers to these areas should be aware of the risk of exposure to cholera and take all necessary precautions to avoid consuming contaminated food and water.
