Cholera outbreak confirmed in Pemba in Lidia Chongo Province in northern Mozambique (update)

A cholera outbreak involving 282 cases and 2 deaths has been confirmed in Pemba in Lidia Chongo Province. Travellers to this area can reduce the risk of exposure to cholera by strictly observing all food and water precautions. If visiting this area and if gastrointestinal symptoms develop, e.g., vomiting and watery diarrhoea, travellers should seek medical care at once.
