Cholera outbreak in Dominican Republic (update)

The increasing cholera epidemic in the Dominican Republic has resulted in 23 deaths and approximately 1,300 cases.

Travellers should be aware of the risk of exposure to cholera in the Dominican Republic. When outside established resorts, travellers should take all necessary precautions to avoid consuming unsafe food and water.
