Cholera outbreak in Hassan District, India

Cholera has broken out in the village of Dyavappanahalli in Belur taluk in Hassan District. Health authorities have confirmed 2 cases who are hospitalized in serious condition, while as many as 75 other persons have become ill with symptoms suggesting cholera. Contaminated water consumption is assumed to be the cause of the outbreak.
