Cholera remains a threat to public health in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has recorded a total of 21,500 cases throughout the country. While the disease is decreasing in some of the most affected areas, new cases are being reported in other areas.

Travellers in this country can reduce their risk of exposure to cholera by taking all necessary precautions to avoid consuming contaminated food and water.
