Civil unrest continues in Bahrain

Since the beginning of anti-government protests on February 15th, at least 30 people have been killed while more than 1,000 people have been detained. Recently, security forces are raiding hospitals and schools to arrest medical workers and students. The Aali Health Centre in Manama was one of two medical facilities raided on April 26th.

Travellers should be aware that the situation in Bahrain remains volatile. Many countries are advising their citizens to avoid all unnecessary travel to Bahrain.
