Concern over meningitis cases in Chaudière-Appalaches, Quebec, Canada

Six cases of meningitis have been confirmed in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, five of whom were in children under four years of age. This number of cases this year is a cause for concern expressed by regional public health officials who are considering the need for large scale vaccination against meningitis in the area.
