Credible threat of attack in Turkey

The U.S. Department of State and Israel issued an “emergency message” to citizens stating there are “credible” and “immediate” threats to tourist areas in Istanbul and Antalya, particularly public squares and docks.

Advice

The U.S. Embassy has advised citizens to leave the country. If you are travelling in Turkey, avoid areas where tourists congregate, public squares and docks. Avoid crowded areas. Remain vigilantly aware of your surroundings.
