Cutaneous (skin) leishmaniasis increasing in many provinces in Peru

More than 100 people infected with cutaneous (skin) leishmaniasis have been reported in Áncash. The patients are residents of the provinces of Aija, Bolognesi, Corongo, Huaraz, Huaylas, Yungay, Pallasca, Huarmey y Santa. This disease usually occurs sporadically in the affected zones.
