Deadly Bomb Blast in Quetta - Pakistan

At least four people were killed and 20 others were wounded after a powerful bomb exploded inside a mosque in the town of Kuchlak some 25km from Quetta during Friday (16 August) prayers.

Advice

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. Travellers should be aware that sectarian violence between both sects (Sunni and Shiite Muslims) occurs in Baluchistan, as well as an insurgency by secessionist groups. Avoid the region and follow the advice of local authorities.
