Deadly bomb explosions in downtown Manama, Bahrain

Five bombs exploded in Manama today, resulting in the deaths of 2 Asian street cleaners. Both government and opposition groups accused each other for being responsible.

Injuries to protesters or police have been relatively common in the 21-month-old protests where the Sunni Muslim Al Khalifa dynasty rules over a majority Shi’ite population.
