Deadly clashes in Central African Republic

In Bambari in the Central African Republic yesterday, three civilians were killed and at least six people wounded in clashes between French peacekeeping troops and crowds when the troops attempted to disarm a Seleka rebel. Violence broke out when a crowd of people with machetes and rifles protested the decision to disarm the Seleka rebels.

The Central African Republic has been in a state of chaos since March 2013 and their attacks on the Christian population have set off revenge attacks.
