Deadly demonstration in Central African Republic

About 400 people protesting the perceived lack of protection afforded by the local UN peacekeeper troops attacked the UN camp in the town of Kaga-Bandoro. One person has been killed and a dozen others were wounded. The UN troops used tear gas and guns to disperse the demonstrators.

Due to instability and lack of personal protection, all travel to the Central African Republic should be avoided.
