Deadly flash floods in southern France

Violent storms with heavy rain caused flooding in south-eastern France, including the cities of Antibes, Cannes, Biot, Golfe-Juan and Mandelieu-la-Napoule. At least 16 people died in several incidents. Some people died while trapped in their cars in tunnels and underground car parks as the waters rose.
