Deadly flooding reported in Cameroon

Government officials in Cameroon have reported serious flooding that has affected more than 26,000 people in the Logone and Shari division and also in the region of Maga, Mayo-Danay division. About 30 people have died as a result of the floods. Officials are reporting this situation as the worst flooding in the country in more than 60 years.

Travellers to the affected areas should exercise caution since essential services, including transportation, may be severely disrupted.
