Deadly protests in Bamenda, Cameroon

Police officers have been accused of using excessive force when they opened fire on an anti-government protest two days ago in Bamenda. Four people were killed and 20 were wounded. There have been months of demonstrations in the two English speaking provinces against President Paul Biya and his ruling Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (RDPC). Protesters claim that fewer funds are provided for the English speaking areas.
