Deadly protests in Egypt to mark anniversary of uprising

At least 20 people were killed during protests across Egypt to mark the anniversary of the 2011 popular uprising. Protesters were killed in Cairo, the El-Matariya district just north of Cairo, Damanhur, Alexandria and in Giza. Security services arrested at least 150 people for protesting and inciting violence on Sunday.

Travellers should continue to avoid all public and political gatherings since they may become violent without notice.
