Deadly tornado in Bangladesh causes much damage

A tornado severely damaged nearly two dozen villages in Brahmanbaria district, southeast of the capital Dhaka. At least 20 people were killed and more than 300 injured. Uprooted trees and wrecked vehicles closed large stretches of highway and rail lines in the area. Travellers may wish to reconsider any plans to travel to the affected area since essential services, including transportation, may be severely disrupted.
