Deadly violence in Bahrain marking 2nd aniversary of first uprising

A 16 year old youth was shot during demonstrations in Al-Daih, a village west of the capital Manama. There are reports of tear gas being used to disperse hundreds of protesters in villages across the country. Travellers should always exercise caution and avoid all public and political demonstrations since they may become violent without warning. Several countries advise their citizens not to travel to this country at this time due to lack of personal security and on-going civil unrest.
