Deaths due to botulism reported in provinces of Batna and Khenchela, Algeria

Two people have died and 15 are hospitalized in the provinces of Batna and Khenchela due to botulism poisoning. The source of the toxin is thought to be rotten meat paste. Both chicken and meat paste have been withdrawn from the market in these provinces.
