Deaths due to dengue fever continue in Paraguay

Although the number of reported cases of dengue has been decreasing in the past several weeks, deaths due to dengue haemorrhagic fever continue to be reported. So far, there have been 62 deaths among tens of thousands of cases. Although there appears to be a decline in the dengue fever epidemic, travellers to Paraguay should exercise caution and reduce their risk of exposure to dengue fever virus by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
