Demonstration Expected in Bolivia, 21 February 2018

The U. S. Embassy in Bolivia has posted a notice that a nationwide demonstration is planned by multiple civic groups throughout the country on 21 February, including La Paz, Santa Cruz and Cochabamba. In addition to demonstrations and marches, expect road blocks and work stoppages.

The size of the demonstrations is not known. However, always avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests to minimize safety risk.
