Demonstration in favour of blasphemy law in Bangladesh turns violent

Tens of thousands of demonstrators of Hifazat-e-Islam blocked major highways to cut off the capital Dhaka from the rest of the country while demanding a new law against blasphemy. In the ensuing confrontation with police, 1 person was shot and killed while 35 others were injured.
