Demonstrations expected for May 1 against Expo Milan 2015 in Milan, Italy

Expo Milan 2015, the first world fair in five years, will open on Friday, May 1. Rallies are planned to protest the fair, which demonstrators say has benefited corporations and not the country. Today hundreds of students are in Milan streets protesting. Tomorrow, opening day of the 6-month fair, No-Expo activists have planned a May Day meeting at 14:00 (2:00 pm) in Piazza 24 Maggio, near the Darsena, followed by a march to the city centre.
