Dengue fever cases decrease in Zulia State, Venezuela, but risk of exposure remains

Health authorities in Zulia State have registered 1,357 cases of dengue fever so far this year. Although the trend appears to be decreasing, there is still a relatively high risk of exposure to infected mosquitos. Travellers to areas where the dengue fever virus is active can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
